Company History

Sunrider International was founded in 1982 in Orem,Utah by a man named Dr. Tei-Fu Chen originally from Taiwan. The company would move it’s headquarters to Los Angeles in the same decade.

Sunrider has now evolved into a Muli-National corporation that has over 7,000 retail stores in China and is planning the opening of 200 more in Malaysia.

What set Sunrider International apart from it’s competitor’s was it’s early innovation of Stevia products, which uses a non chemical extraction process that removes the green of the leaves as well as the after taste.

Sunrider has quite an impressive array of products, some of the following are listed below:

Sunrider International researches, develops and manufactures it’s own products this set’s them apart from other products as production isn’t outsourced.

Sunrider International has 4 manufacturing plants in, China, Singapore, taiwan and Los Angeles the latter of which is the largest of it’s kind in the world.

Compensation Plan

As far as the compensation plan goes it’s actually quite unique. You see, in most MLM companies the commissions are calculated based on the volume of sales of the Independent represenatative’s and there downlines but in Sunrider International the bonuses payable to Independent business owners are calculated on company sales volume. This definitely has a dramatic effect on you bottom line.

Conclusion

Sunrider International seems to hit all the right spots. They have a business franchise model, they’ve won multiple awards, they operate different types of businesses such as Hotels and even do charity work.

On the surface it all looks great, you have a great company that makes it’s own products, has highly acclaimed products, works with major global organizations and everything else you’d expect from a Company of this caliber

There is a problem however……

The products won’t sell themselves and anyone that tells you this is flat-out crazy and you’d have to be crazy to believe them.

Don’t get me wrong you can make money with Sunrider products but only if you can learn this one skill: LEAD GENERATION.

I’ll tell you from personal experience that it will take a steady flow of leads into your business daily if you ever want to get out of the rat-race.

If you don’t eventually master the art of generating your own leads you will eventually get burnt out and then it’s back to the J-O-B.

Businesses tend to use overseas production facilities as they are well known for being able to produce vast quantities in a short space of time.  Many businesses across all industries will use some form of foreign business usually in Asia.

In order to set up one of these schemes you will obviously need to arrange some way of transporting your entire product back to you or your target market.  Due to the large quantities it isn’t very cost effective to send them via regular international post as the entire shipment will likely not be sent at once and will be subject to delays that can occur in the country of origin and your local postal service.

Obviously for businesses this is not feasible and can cause delays which could harm your business, this is why ocean or sea freight shipping is an advisable option.  Freight ships with storage containers are the most common way of shipping vast quantities effectively.  It is less expensive as in most cases the charges are only for the ocean-crossing part of your shipment.  If you are able to collect your shipment from the shipment yard to your place of business you can save extra money on the cost of transport here in your company’s country.

The amount of time the shipment takes to get to you though can be long compared to air shipments, however because the cost is lower and sea freight being much more secure many businesses will opt to use it.  Obviously your business will need to take in to consideration that sea freight is not best for tight deadlines or immediate supply.

The time frames can be really long and so you really need to plan ahead if you plan on using sea freight shipping, for instance a shipment from the UK to the USA can take up to eight or ten weeks and so you really need to consider this sizeable timeframe when choosing an international shipping method.

Typically sea freight arrangements involve shipping companies that can link customers and suppliers to transport links.  They are able to get the cheapest and quickest delivery options due to their connections with cargo ships and since there are often issues with international customs when shipping goods they should be able to advise you on any costs or expenses you are likely to run across due to the importing or exporting of goods.
